Phyllis R. Snipes is a Professor in the School Library Media Program at the University of West Georgia. She was a school librarian for 30 years before working full time at the university level. Her current work focuses on the development of a relevant librarian evaluation process and teaching technology literacies in the K-12 schools. She received the GLMA William E. Patterson award and the GAIT Juanita Skelton award. She was highly honored to receive the 2017 University of West Georgia Teaching Excellence Award and was nominated for the 2018 University System of Georgia Online Teaching Excellence Award.
